I'm back!

Hello to everyone and anyone interested in what's been going on with us in the last couple months. We're back!

Anyone who knows me (and what I do for a living) knows that my job sucks me into oblivion from the week before Thanksgiving to about the week before Christmas. Thus, explaining my disappearance. I am thrust into Christmasland for about a month decorationg people's homes and several hotels in the area for the big Holiday. While it can be a very pleasant and rewarding time, it is also very difficult and stressful. I involve everyone I can, including Eric quite a bit of the time, and I would like to publicly thank him for his help and support. I could not have done it without him. Every year I say it's my last year running the show, and every year I end up back at it again. Perhaps, this is my last year. =)

So, I'd like to catch up and fill you in on what we've been doing in between decking everyone's halls...

I believe you've all met Oswaldo, well, at least the raw bird. Now, meet cooked Oswaldo!

He was delicious!

Shortly after Thansgiving came PJ's 7th Birthday. We had a fun party at our house with his "grown up" friends...

and a party at Safeco Field with his kid friends....and Ichiro even came! Talk about the luckiest 7 year old ever!

And in case you still weren't convinced that PJ had the best Birthday ever, here is the cake (a replica of Fenway Park) that Eric made. He made it completely by hand. Seriously. He made the cake, the frosting and the fondant. Wow. I helped with a few of the details at the end, but he really did the whole thing himself. Kudos to Eric!

With the leftover fondant I made this cake for a family in our ward who just had a baby girl. Yay me!

Then came mid December. The annual ski trip to Whistler. Our friend Tony Gibbs has been organizing this trip for the past 6 years and this is our second time going (and now Eric's 2nd time skiing). It's such a fun trip, we've had a blast both times. And it's so gorgeous up there!

On the balcony of our lodge...

Me on the slopes!

Eric on the slopes!

Heading out for a day of skiing...
Hollie, Wendy and I packing up to head home...

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had a great one. I'll post more after the new year.
Happy 2008 to everyone!

So behind!!!

How boring is my blog lately!? I have many, many things to blog, but I've been so busy I just haven't gotten around to it. Plus all my pictures are on CD's because we had to wipe our hardrive do to a virus or something ridiculous. Ugh! Sooo.... I know you've all been anxiously waiting for new posts. Unfortunately, I'm not posting tonight, BUT, I will be blogging about the following events:

1. Cooked Oswaldo
2. PJ's Birthday party at our house
3. PJ's Birthday party at Safeco Field
4. Whistler

And perhaps more when I remember.

Cheers for now!

Turkey Day Post #1: Go Big or Go Home

Eric discovered on the Butterball website that a 3 1/2 pound turkey will feed 2 adults and a child with leftovers. How big is our turkey you ask? Just shy of 21 pounds.
We started naming our Turkeys about 3 years ago. Meet Oswaldo. He is not only our supper...he is our friend. Turkey anyone?

This one's for you Grandpa...

This is my handsome Grandpa Halverson. I have only known him through the stories my father has told me but I honor his courage and loyalty.

This is my sweet, handsome, courageous Grandpa Stimpson. I honor you on this special day for your bravery and loyalty to your country. Thank you for your special example...I love you.

Unhappy Blogger

Eric took this picture of me to document the angry blog I just wrote about him and I thought it was funny.

Sleeping Beauties

They look like little angels, but don't let them fool you. They are total buttheads! First they kept me up all night having a slumber party with their 3 1/2 foot culprit (who shall remain nameless) and then played all day long while I got up early and worked ALL day long. THEN they called and asked me what was for dinner. THEN they fell asleep all evening and I actually had to make dinner for the little punks and wake them up to eat. GRRRR! I sound really mad, but I'm really only a little bit mad. How can I when they're so dang cute?

Halloweeners

I'm a bit behind on the Halloween post, but better late than never! This year PJ decided he wanted to be scary for the first time. So super dad delivered again! Eric stayed up super late Tuesday night getting PJ's costume perfected. I wish I had a close up picture of his super scary makeup. He looked just like Dracula down to the teeth marks on his neck!
