in preparing for the annual christmas
craftiness during general conference this year, i dug out some treasures thunk up by the great ceri jo when us chillins were little. it was a great way to keep us awake during conference back in those days and, coincidentally, does the same today! i wish the halverson grills could be together this weekend, but know that i'll be thinkin 'boutcha. and definitely about mom!
i started these stockings last year, but wasn't able to finish them in time. i was up until 3am christmas eve trying to hack them out, but my machine was not cooperating and i almost lost it! this year i'll add the names and do all the fun things i wanted to last year, but wasn't able to.
can't wait!

probably pronounced the american way because it could be a teaser...it makes me sad to think of kids telling her to leave. what do you think? paranoid?

Krista -I just have to comment on this.... Having been in education for what seems like for-ev-er I have seen how frustrating it is for kids when no-one can ever say their name right (at least the first time). Liv is a beautiful name with either pronunciation so you can't really go wrong...but the American way is the way most people (in America of course) would read it and thus, say it. Asia and Lakin have both gone through school correcting the pronunciation of their names and I think they sound just like they are spelled. Just a thought.

Last year only Elyza had a stocking, and it was only half made as well. That is this years goal for me as well so that we can all have stockings at K's.

Good thing Palin's on the ticket. She can see Asia from her house. (Well, according to her, Russia, at least.)
RD -So true....! I'll bet she's also one of the people who - when asking how to pronounce the name (Asia) say......"oh, just like the country?"
Oh my, now that I look closer your Mom put so much time into those tiny little details! This will definitely not just be a weekend project.
