the boy is in!

after quite some time, pj has made it back to the second grade (insert cheers and huge sigh of relief). he started at the hollywood schoolhouse on thursday and has already made several friends. poor kid has been seriously lacking in people, age 8. we are becoming pros at finding our way around, via metro. LA has a great subway system that we catch 3 blocks from home and drops us about the same at our respective schools. the stop where we get off for pj's school is right on hollywood blvd. next door to the kodak theatre. we're kind of like celebrities. oh, wait.
i'm not sure what building that is with the rugrats pictures, but it's not the school. in case you were wondering.

Love the schoolhouse sign--and that little guy underneath it.

(This is Megan, not Bri, just to lazy to switch to my own account!)
So is this a regular public school or did you have to apply/pay for it? Is it very big? And yes, I say if you live in Hollywood, you are celebs!

(Meg again) Ok, so I checked out the link and the school looks great! I love the after school program (I assume PJ is going to). He will more than likely have all his homework done everyday before ever going home; that is awesome! I'm excited for him. What made you choose this place and how did you hear about it?

Me, too, all the questions Megan asked. Plus this one: has PJ been out of school for all this time? If so, best spring break EVER!

Cute pic! And thanks for the comments on my blog! You are always so sweet!
You and Krista should totally start up a website, as long as you don't do anything similar to my flowers, I have enough competitors already, and I'm sure yours would kick my butt!!

i can't believe that kid is in 2nd grade. he seems like he should be in college by now. or at least a grade ahead...the genius that he is. ;)

meg: it's a private school that and yes, he had to present transcripts and do a visit before he was accepted. i'm still not over it. 2nd grade and already having to apply. it's not very big. it's K-middle school, but they keep the classes sizes between 12 and 15 kids.

nicea: yes, he's been out this whole time. we had no idea how lengthy this process would end up being. oy.

friss: yes.
